How We Protect Your Data
MFS takes the protection of your data seriously. We understand the importance of maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your information. To safeguard your data, we have implemented robust security measures. These include but are not limited to encryption protocols, secure data storage, regular system audits and access controls. By utilizing trusted CRM, analytic and email marketing tools, we ensure that your data is protected at every stage of its lifecycle. Rest assured that we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data security and privacy to provide you with a safe and reliable experience.
Data Breach Procedures We Have in Place
We have comprehensive procedures in place to minimize risk and protect your information. Our website’s hosting has multiple layers of security, including an SSL certificate for safety and privacy. A Secure Sockets Layer is a security protocol that encrypts communication between a web server and a web browser. It is used to protect private data such as personal details from being read or modified by unauthorized parties while in transit over the Internet. SSL certificates are needed to enable SSL on websites and to verify the identity of the server.
Although 100% security is not possible, in the case of a data breach MFS already has a plan in place. Our data breach response plan includes immediate identification and containment of the breach, investigation to assess the scope and cause, notification of affected individuals and cooperation with relevant authorities. We also regularly conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address potential security gaps proactively. Our goal is to swiftly respond to any data breach, mitigate its effects and ensure the continued security of your information.
Third Parties We Receive Data From
As part of our operations, we may receive data from trusted third-party sources. These sources may include marketing software which assists us in delivering our products or services. We ensure that any third-party data we receive is obtained lawfully, and we only work with partners who maintain high standards of data protection and privacy. Our partnerships are built on trust and transparency and we strive to ensure that any data we receive is used responsibly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Decision-Making / Profiling With User Data
In the future, we may use automated decision-making and profiling techniques to enhance our services and provide you with a personalized experience. These techniques are designed to analyze patterns, preferences and behaviors based on user data collected through our CRM, analytic tools and email marketing tools. The insights help us tailor communication, recommendations and offers to better meet your specific needs and interests. We ensure that any automated decision making or profiling will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner and we respect your rights to opt-out or seek human intervention whenever necessary.
Industry Regulatory Disclosure
In California, the logistics industry is subject to certain regulatory disclosure requirements. One important regulation is the California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the “Shine the Light” law. This law requires businesses to disclose certain information regarding the sharing of customer personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. It mandates that businesses provide California residents with the right to opt-out of such information sharing.
If you wish to opt-out of information sharing for marketing purposes, you can send us an email to Marketing@myfreightstaff.com
Additionally, logistics companies operating in California must comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). The CCPA grants consumers certain rights regarding the collection, use and disclosure of their personal information. It requires businesses to provide clear and transparent information about their data practices, including the types of personal information collected, the purposes for which it is used and the rights of consumers to access and control their data. This Privacy Policy satisfies this requirement.
Protecting your data and ensuring transparency in our practices are top priorities for us. If you have any further questions or concerns not addressed within this policy or the Terms of Service, please don’t hesitate to reach out by sending an email to Info@myfreightstaff.com
